Cell phones are everywhere, and influence every walk of life. Make an artistic statement about this phenomenon. (PS:  Click on images to see detail.)

As the cell phone becomes more ubiquitous, it will grow in functionality and shrink in size ... perhaps even to the size of a single biological cell, perhaps even implanted as an organic feature of human being.   In the picture to the left, look carefully between the two arrows for the actual "cell" phone, named for a Paramecium.  Click below for an excerpt from the Paramecium User Manual

I don't particularly like my cell phone.  It is usually turned off.  Maybe the bag should be sound proof.

The diguising of cell phone towers as trees in some communities was too ironic to pass up.  I have painted these three cell phones to pose as fake wildlife to live in the fake trees.  The nest is made from strands of my shredded cell phone bill.

Three teenagers on their cells during the First Dynasty.  Hieroglyphics roughly translate to "Listen over hills and through forests as the falcon flies by using your cell phone."

The Monster

I abhor techno-stuff.  The cell phone monster has its tentacles into every corner of our lives.  In the upper left hand corner is a dinosaur (me!) biting the beast.

Can You Hear Me Now?

My inspiration for the cell phone theme comes from a longing for silence... Click the link to the left for a copy of my poem.
